Stilte is known for its deafening silence, amazing sunsets, and peaceful atmosphere. We are far away from bright lights and loud noises coming from surrounding lodges and villages. You may be “disturbed” by the call of jackal at dusk.

ACCESS

Can I leave Stilte if I want to enjoy the nearby Dinokeng Game Reserve and local restaurants?

Yes. The entrance gate to Stilte has a code that you will receive upon check-in. You are welcome to come and go as you please. If you want to stay out later and return after dark, arrangements can be made, and you will be accommodated accordingly.

What can I expect from the camping sites?

8 Camping sites with tree shade and clear grounds. No grass.
Facilities for fire on the ground
Dustbins
No running water and electricity at campsites
The campsites are a distance from each other ensuring peace and quiet
Ablutions with running water, toilets, and showers. Water is provided from a water tank and a “donkie” that is stoked with wood for warm water
Water is available for personal use at the ablutions
The campsites are unfenced allowing for free game roaming
Gravel roads for mountain biking and leisure walks

GAME WATCHING

If you are more into game views from your car, Stilte has a selection of gravel roads that you can view game from.

STAR GAZING

When last did you experience dark nights filled with gazing stars? At Stilte you can catch up on this and watch the stars from the comfort of the porch of the Boshuis.

SUNSETS

Do you crave soul searching sunsets?

Our sunset driveway allows you to view the sunset from the comfort of your car – or even better, pack some snacks and drinks, your camping chair and view the sunset in luxury whilst enjoying the spectacular view.
